Student Discipline Policy
The student discipline policy of the College is based upon principles of natural justice and procedural fairness. Students have a right to be heard when an allegation is made against them and always have the right to be treated with respect and dignity. Parents are involved in the processes of procedural fairness when sanctions may result in suspension and expulsion of a student. Disciplinary actions do not include exclusion.
The College expressly prohibits corporal punishment and does not explicitly or implicitly sanction the administering of corporal punishment by non-school persons, including parents, to enforce discipline at the school. All behavioural management actions are based on principles of procedural fairness and work towards restorative justice.
A summary of Discipline Procedures can be accessed in the Student Planner and the full policy can be requested from the Principal’s office.
